The flood that just devastated Penang and some parts of Kedah was an unprecedented natural disaster. 1,000 Penang companies have lost an estimated RM300 million due to the floods, and this whopping figure hasn’t even taken into account personal losses yet. Luckily, a few companies have made it their new mission to help you recoup some of your losses:

The flood levels drenched some cars and drowned others, causing some owners to have their cars damaged by the floods. Hopefully, it’s nothing permanent, since a car is often the second-biggest purchase the average household makes aside from a house. Honda Malaysia is looking to lessen the burden of repairs by offering a 50% discount on affected genuine Honda parts. This discount programme applies to all areas affected by the flood, and to cars that were purchased from Honda authorised dealers. Simply follow the steps stated in the infographic above to obtain 50% discount plus 6 months or 10,000km warranty on the replaced genuine parts, with a reimbursement period from 1 November 2017 to 31 March 2018. Honda’s discount programme is valid till 28 February 2018.

With the world moving towards an increasingly digital trend, our workplaces and academic institutions have followed suit, with laptops, tablets, and computers featuring prominently in the workflow. This means that a damaged laptop is practically the end of the world – and for all your precious files! – if you didn’t manage to back up your files in time. Luckily, Acer is looking to help by waiving repair fees on flood-damaged devices, or a 15% discount on new Acer computers if yours is proven damaged beyond repair. Simply send your Acer electronics to its authorised service centre in Bayan Baru for a free inspection and damage assessment to be eligible for both the free assessment and the discount. If your device can be fixed, you’ll still have to bear the cost of replacement parts, but it’s still better than nothing, right? Acer’s offer is valid till 15 December 2017. You may call Acer’s product info line at 1800-88-1288 if you have any enquiries.

You won’t even need to lug your damaged appliances to them – Samsung will come to you, once you give them a call at 1800-88-8899 for other products to book an appointment for a house visit with a Samsung Service Centre (for In Home Products).
